Competitive tryouts for the two rising NCSL U14 boys’ teams will be held on June 9, 11 and 16.
- The first team will play in NCSL D4 and will be coached by Coach Luis Gendive.
- The second team will play in either NCSL D4 or D5 and will be coached by Coach George Shirley
- We practice and train twice a week during the Fall and Spring seasons.
- We also hold preseason camps in August and February and participate in two tournaments per season
Coaches’ Biographies
Head Coach Luis Gendive has coached for ATSC since the Fall of 2001. In 2006 Luis was named ATSC Coach of the Year. Coach Luis has almost 20 years coaching experience. Luis has coached youth and adult teams in Europe, including six years with Juventud Madrid, the sister
school
of
Real Madrid
. In the , Luis has coached players for ODP, NCSL, WAGS and in the collegiate ranks at
Gallaudet
University
. In addition to our U14 team Luis coaches the rising U-19B Div 1 Arlington Titans, the U-17 NOVA Royals in the Super-Y league and the Girls Varsity Soccer team at

High School
Head Coach George Shirley has been coaching for the past 5 years in ATSC, most recently as the head coach of the U19 Warriors (NCSL D1) and assistant coach for U16 Legend (NCSL D1). Coach George holds both a USSF D license and a NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma and has served as an ODP player evaluator. He is also certified in First Aid, CPR and AED use. George is originally from
Arlington
and serves on both the ATSC Board and the ATSC Coaches Committee.
