KidSafe Forms and Code of Conduct Forms

Dear Coaches and Managers:
For those of you who attended last night’s New Managers meeting, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to do so. I hope it was useful. Thank you to my “presentors”, Chug Roberts, Steve Etkin, Diana Greenhalgh and Steve Lent, for your time and preparation. Your remarks were thoughtful and helpful. To our board members—Lee Dudka and Hilary Philips (current and retired) thank you for coming to observe and offer comments.
One form I forgot to mention until the end was the KidSafe form. All coaches, managers (including assistants) and board members are required to complete this form and return it to me. It is available on the website under forms and documents; http://www.atsc-va.org/documents/index_E.html. If you have been an ATSC coach or manager and have completed one before, they are still current. If you have filled one out as a coach or Club manager for ASA, they are still current. Otherwise, please fill them out and send them to me (2230 N. Powhatan Street, Arlington 22205). Another series of forms we discussed last night but have not made a Club priority until now is the Code of Conduct forms (attached). These forms need to be completed by players, coaches and parents. Managers should keep them on file along with their medical release forms. Reading and signing these forms is a good way to insure that all participants in ATSC are aware of their responsibilities and the consequences for violating them.
