Game Field Set Up Procedures
Fall 2008

Greenbrier (Yorktown) Nets and flags should remain up at this field for ATSC games on Sunday; no set up and take down is required. Flags must be left on the field. There is no equipment box at this field; if there is a problem, ask the facility monitor for help.

Kenmore  ATSC installed an equipment box at this field to store the nets, flags, step ladder and clips.  The first ATSC team should put up the nets and use the flags in the equipment box. The last team will need to take down the nets and flags and put them back in the equipment box. The box is a black Stanley box, located behind the backstop near the elementary school.

Quincy   ATSC installed an equipment box at this field to store the nets, step ladder and clips.  ATSC teams must put up and take down nets at Quincy.   On October 19 only, AWSL (women’s league) teams will play at Quincy before ATSC. The nets should be us when teams arrive. The equipment box is a black Stanley box, located behind the backstop near the tennis courts.

TJ Upper  Nets will remain up on the TJ Upper goals throughout the season; no setup or takedown is required. Flags will need to be picked up at the ATSC equipment shed and returned after the games. Please send an email to me once you have returned the flags. Lizzy.atsc@gmail.com

Virginia Highlands   The nets should remain up on these goals all season.  AWSL plays first at this field on Sundays but does not usually use flags. The first ATSC team should get the flags from the field box and after the last ATSC game the flags should be returned to the box. The nets remain up. The equipment box is located on the far (southwest) side of the field by the little building.

Wakefield   In the fall, the soccer goals must be moved on and off the field on Sundays. AWSL teams play first, and they will move the goals onto the field. The last ATSC teams should move the goals back off the field, putting them between the field and the track at the south end, and beyond the track at the north end. The nets should remain on the goals.  ATSC teams can get the flags from the equipment box and return them after the last game. The equipment box is green and located near the tennis courts.

Washington-Lee  Nets will be up on the goals on Sunday morning and should remain up after ATSC games. In general, no net set-up will be required for ATSC teams. Flags will be in the equipment box, which is gray and located near the northeast corner of the field (closest to old school site). If stakes are used to hold the back of the net, it is essential to stake into natural grass only, not into synthetic turfATSC teams should leave nets UP but always return the flags to the equipment box and lock the box.
Williamsburg MS #2 Nets and flags will be stored in the brown equipment box located by the tennis courts. Flags should be put away after each game. I am still waiting on a decision about the nets.

Bluemont Junction  Nets and flags will remain up on Bluemont Junction throughout the season; no setup or takedown is required.

Chesterfield A and B  Nets and flags will remain up on Chesterfiled A and B throughout the season; no setup or takedown is required.

Powhatan Springs  Nets will remain up on Powhatan Springs throughout the season. Flags will be in the green equipment box and should be returned after the last game on each day. Please remember to return the flags to the box.

Fields Park Nets and flags have to be put up and taken down each day at this field. Arrange to pick up nets and flags at the ATSC equipment shed by sending an email to lizzy.atsc@gmail.com or calling 703-241-0309. Nets and flags need to be returned after the final game that day.
