TRYOUTS

The rising U15G United, is looking for several impact players to help take this team to the next level. We will be having ongoing tryouts throughout the summer. The team will play 3 tournaments per season, winter indoor soccer and practice year round.

United is proud to announce our new coach, Ann Germain. Coach Ann Germain's comprehensive approach to training emphasizes development of the mental, physical, psychological and technical aspects of the game. The coach places a particular emphasis on development of individual and team tactical awareness.

Coach Ann brings to United a background on the international level as a player, coach and leader. Ann played on the first U.S. Women's National Team from 1984-86 and is among the pioneers on putting women's soccer on the international stage. She was a teammate of such notables as April Heinrichs, current coach of the U.S. national team, and Michelle Akers. Ann played with the U.S. National Team in an early version of the women's World Cup in 1985 and 1986 held in Italy. That team traveled the world competing in tournaments and bringing international exposure to the women's game.

Ann played on the Virginia's state women's team from 1980-92 and was captain of the state team for several years. She also played for Soccer Kicks and the Wildfire under-30 women's teams, which went on to win three national open titles. At age 33 she finally moved up to the over-30 age group and played for the Annandale TBA team, which also won 3 or 4 national titles. Ann was an MVP in these national women's tournaments.

Ann is former assistant soccer coach at Langley High School. As a player at Langley, Ann earned all-District, all-Met and tournament MVP honors.
