Arlington U11 Girls claim 2 of 3 Titles in the NVSC Fall Classic finals

The Arlington girls finished their season in scintillating fashion with a near-sweep of the honors at the NVSC Fall Classic over the weekend of November 17-18. Before Dynamo went down fighting in the championship game of their division, both Ajax and Juventus were crowned as Champions of their respective divisions. Both Ajax and Juventus posted three wins and a draw en route to their titles with Ajax overcoming a determined Reston Comets side and Juventus holding off an aggressive SYC Washington Freedom side in the finals. On a tremendous day for the Arlington club, the three teams supported and cheered each other as they played and made their march to the medal stand as each Arlington U11 girl left their final match of the fall season wearing a medal.

Juventus U11 Year in Review
Juventus of Arlington had its strongest year yet in 2007-2008. The Bianconiera picked up two Semifinalist places (Battlefield Classic and Virginian), three Finalist medals (August Cup, CMSSL March Mania, and Richmond Strikers Capital Fall Classic), and one Championship trophy (NVSC Fall Classic). All the while, Juve were a tough side to beat in WAGS league competition - falling only 5 times in 18 matches over the Fall and Spring seasons. Juventus has reloaded for the U12 year and can’t wait to get back on the pitch!
Juve Finalist
2008 CMSSL March Mania

Juventus started the Spring '08 campaign bang in form with the Finalist medals at the March Mania. Continuing the form that saw the side collect medals in 3 of 4 Fall events, Juventus went through the group 3-0-0 taking points from VYS Storm, MSC Magic, and Freedom Flash against whom Juventus roared back from an 0-2 halftime deficit. Although Juventus fell to SAC United in the final, the team can be proud to have started their season in style. Congrats Bianconera!
