This weekend, Dynamo met the McLean Challengers Gold in McLean .  Off to a bit of a rocky start, the team was able to enter halftime still tied at zero.  Early in the second half, the Challengers were able to get through the Dynamo defense for a shot, resulting in a goal.  Dynamo put together a well played sequence to move the ball up field for a beautiful finish on goal.  The match ended in a 1-1 tie.  A job well done for our goalies of the game: Eva, Kate, & Beth.

The opening plays of the game set the tone that Herndon had come out to play a strong game of soccer with a few good shots on goal within the first quarter of the game.  Dynamo answered the Power and led by a score of 2-0 going into the second half.  During the half, the team discussed where the breakdowns were happening on the field, and it was decided that their challenge for the second half was to focus on communication and direction on the field.  The second half was 35 minutes of good soccer; however, Herndon was able to break through the defense to put the ball into the back of the net.  The final score was 3-3.  It was a well played game for the whole team.  A special congratulation to Kelly, Addie, and Danica for their goals and to our goalies Danica and Nicole for their outstanding halves in goal.
