The U9 Eagles-White team nearly pulled off an upset win in their 2008 season opener on the road against Springfield, but couldn’t overcome the tough host.  After twice falling behind by two goals, the Eagles-White fought back with less than 10 minutes remaining to tie the game at 4-4.  After a late goal by Springfield, the Eagles-White had several great scoring chances before the end but couldn’t put the ball past the goal keeper.  This was a great start and a sign of good things to come for the young team.
