Eagles Blue improved to 3-0 with another convincing victory, 12-2 over Fairfax.

As happened last week, Eagles struck multiple times in the first ten minutes. With a little under two minutes gone in the game, David gathered a free ball, drove to the left side of the box and placed a pretty shot just inside the right goalpost.

At the five-minute mark Mateo gathered a Nicholas shot that bounced off the defender to the left side of the box and, just as David did 3 minutes earlier, drove it just inside the right goalpost with his left foot.

Just three minutes later, David was taken down by a Fairfax defender about 15 feet outside the top of the box. Mateo hit a blistering free kick past several Fairfax defenders for Eagles Blue’s third goal.

The next goal came at the 13-minute mark when Marty drove home a cross from Vittorio.

At 17 minutes, Vittorio took a pass from Mateo in the center of the box, dribbled around a defender, and put it in.

Vittorio scored again at 19 minutes, taking advantage of a errant Fairfax pass to steal the ball and put it in.

At 24 minutes Garrett made a run down the left side, took a very hard shot that the goalie could not handle, and James put away the rebound to make it 7-0 Eagles Blue.

Mateo finished up the first-half scoring at 29 minutes, taking a loose ball on the left side of the box and driving it home to end the half 8-0.

Ethan made some great plays as goalkeeper, stymieing several Fairfax breakaways, to notch his second half of clean sheet work this season.

Once relieved of his goalkeeper duties, Ethan showed his prowess in the field just six minutes into the second half, taking a pass from Marty, driving past a defender, and launching a long shot over the keeper’s head to make it 9-0 Eagles Blue.

Four minutes later, Nicholas took a goal kick from Neil, drove through several defenders and scored to make it 10-0.

At 54 minutes, following two Fairfax goals, Nicholas knocked in the rebound of a Mateo shot to make it 11-2.

Mateo finished the scoring at 58 minutes, putting in a cross from Nicholas.
