Eagles Blue improved to 2-0 with a 10-2 victory over Alexandria at Potomac Yards Field under sunny, warm conditions.

The Eagles started the game with three goals in ten minutes. The first was by Vittiorio off some nifty passing by several members of the team, lastly Neil and Marco.

Next, Vittorio dribbled through two defenders before laying the ball off to Mateo who struck from the top of the penalty box.

David struck next, fighting through both a defender and the goalie, after another assist from Vittorio.

After an Alexandria goal made it 3-1, the Eagles scored again at the 20-minute mark, as Mateo gathered a loose ball at the top of the box and put it in with the left foot.

David scored five minutes later after a long left side run through several defenders.

Vittorio made it 6-1 in the last minute of the half, blowing by a couple defenders after a pass from Mateo.

Ethan once again showed great goalie skills, allowing just one goal in his half of work.

Alexandria scored 17 minutes into the second half to make it 6-2, but could get no closer. At the 49-minute mark, Mateo crossed to Ethan outside the top of the box and he drove straight in for the score to make it 7-2.

Three minutes later, Neil took a pass from Marty, juked a defender and put it past the goalie with the left foot.

At the 57-minute mark, Neil passed to Marco who put it between the keeper’s legs to increase the lead to 9-2.

Mateo capped off the scoring on a long shot after a pass from James.

Nicholas showed great keeper skills in holding Alexandria to one goal in the second half.

Once again, Arlington Eagle Blues hustled and played well as a team, showing excellent passing skills. Great job, Eagles Blue!
